Simple Sauté

  • 1 lb fresh Mushrooms, cut or tear in bite size pieces 
  • 2 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil "EVOO"
  • 2 Tbs Butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic- sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
Heat skillet over med-high heat, add the EVOO let it get hot then add Mushrooms, stir and cover for 3 minutes. Stir, add garlic and continue to stir uncovered add butter salt and pepper brown lightly. Serve warm.
You can use as a side dish to compliment an entree. Serve in mixed veggies, or top your favorite sandwich or burger.

Best Ever Grilled Canadian Bacon Panini

  • Mushrooms from Simple sauté
  • Cream cheese
  • Canadian Bacon
  • panini, Bagel Everything, Sourdough, or your favorite gourmet bread
  • Butter
After following the "Simple sauté " push mushrooms to one side of pan, and add the buttered bread of choice, grill to a golden brown, remove and add Canadian bacon, grill lightly, place on bottom piece of bread layer mushrooms on bacon and spread cream cheese on top piece of bread. 

Deep Fried Oyster Mushrooms

  • 1 3/4 cup Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon each: Granulated Garlic, Onion Powder, Black Pepper, Salt
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 bottle beer Any will do, but bitter ales will create a different flavor

Start By blending dry ingredients with whisk in a medium bowl.
Make a well in the center, add eggs, continue whisking add beer slowly until well blended.
Remove stems and 1/2 the large mushrooms. Batter and deep fry in 3 inches of frying oil. 
I put gill sides down and turn 1/2 way thru. Golden Brown. 
Serve with cocktail sauce.
